Lucille Fain Peel Smith, 89, of Bethel Road in Nicholasville, died June 6at the University of Kentucky Medical Center after an extended illness.
She was born in Garrard County on June 29, 1913, to the late Ruford andCordia Davis Fain. She was the widow of Lucian Peel, who died in 1946,and Ralph Smith, who died in 1992.
She was a member of Nicholasville Christian Church and the Town andCountry Homemakers.
Survivors include her son, Jimmy Peel and his wife, Ann; a daughter,Jennifer Smith Locker, and her husband, Paul, and their twin daughters,Cassindie and Jennie Lin; and a sister, Mary Jessamine Sauls.
She was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters.
Services were held on Monday, June 9th, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Homeon Oak Street with the Rev. Bobby Becknell officiating, with burialfollowing at Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Family and friends served aspallbearers. June 12 2003 JJ
