Edith Louise Moody Rhorer, 80, of Sparks Ave. in Nicholasville, the widowof Crum Rhorer, died Friday, Dec. 6, after a lengthy illness.
She was a retired employee of St. Joseph Hospital and a member of MountFreedom Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Samuel "Sam" B. Rhorer of Lexington,William "Billy" Rhorer and his wife, Rita, of Jessamine County, and MarkD. Rhorer of Jessamine County; a daughter, Rosemary Rockefeller and herhusband, Duane, of Missouri; a sister, Lola Shellenberger of Versailles;three grandchildren, Jeffrey D. Rockefeller, William Gregory Rockefellerand Amanda E. Brislin; three great-grandchildren, Benjamin Rockefeller,William Grant Rockefeller, and William Caleb Brislin; and a specialniece, Karen Jo Carroll.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Monday at Betts & West FuneralHome with the Rev. Don Reed and the Rev. Craig Ryan officiating. Burialfollowed in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens.
Bearers were Daniel Corman, Ed Fuller, Raymond D. Moody, Robert N. Moody,Bill Brislin, and Elmo Spurlock. Honorary bearers were Lyman Cox, LynnSettles, Lee Arnold Spurlock, Danny Ray Gay and the Sunday School classat Mount Freedom Baptist Church.
Donations are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass or Mount FreedomBaptist Church.
