Mr. Phillips attended Jessamine Christian Church and was a member of theMasonic Lodge and the Olieka Shriners. He had been self-employed as aretail store merchant for many years until he retired.
He is survived by his daughter, Ms. Barbara S. Fischer of Lexington; fourgrandchildren, Steven Bevis Fischer, Craig Dean Fischer and his wife,Connie, Suzanne Fischer, and Chris Bennett Fischer and his wife, Angie;and three great-grandchildren,Chandler Bevis Fischer, Erin Taylor Fischerand Cody Sizemore.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, William, Harold and WilsonPhillips.
Private funeral services were held on Thursday at hager and CundiffFuneral Home with the Rev. Craig Ryan officiating. Burial followed inMaple Grove Cemetery.
