She was a charter member of Edgewood Baptist Church. Minnie was adevoted, caring, loving, and giving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt,and friend to many. She began her retail sales career as a teenager inher parents’ business, Thompson’s Market. She served her customers withcare and devotion for most of her life as a worker and partner ofThompson’s Foodtown. Minnie was a graduate of Jessamine County HighSchool Class of 1962. She attended Western and Eastern KentuckyUniversities. She is survived by her husband, mother, and two devotedsons, Wesley Thomas Cobb and Lee Martin Cobb; two sisters, Carol Brownand Ann (Bob) Nicholson; one brother, C.B. (Patrice) Thompson; fivesisters-in-law, Linda (Doug) Downing, Phyllis (Ray) Bradshaw, LouiseHasselbring, Loretta Burton, and Charlene Cobb. Also surviving are manynieces and nephews whom she loved as her very own: Jan, Cliff, Ann, Fran,Kim, Kris, Niki, Tevis, Tessa, Tyler, K.D., Clay, Sadie, Charlsie,Isabella, Cassidi, Coulter, Elijah, Cole, Tasha, Austin, Todd, Robin, AnnMarie, Robin, Vivien, Laura, Edwin, Sue, Tommie, Marcia, and Ramona. Shewas preceded in death by her father, her "Mama and Daddy Cobb," ThelmaLee and Hubert Thomas Cobb, her grandparents, Minnie and Martin Brogli,and Delphy and Wesley Thompson, and two brothers-in-law, Charles Brownand Stewart Cobb. A service in honor and celebration of her life will beMonday, December 23, 2002 at 11:00am at Edgewood Baptist Church. Burialwill follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends atHager and Cundiff Funeral Home today, 3:00-8:00pm, and Sunday, December22nd, noon to 5:00pm. Casketbearers will be family. Honorary bearers willbe Jessamine County High School Class of 1962 and nieces.
