Brumfield, David 2/17/1888 Died at his residence at Little Hickman,Feb. 15th, 1888, at 6:30 p.m., after a short illness of only nine days,Mr. David Brumfield. It is our sincere regret and painful duty tochronicle to the surrounding country the demise of our life-long friend.Knowing him for a life time, we never knew but the sunny side of hisjovial and good nature. We always knew him as an honest, upright, lawfuland useful citizen. He was a valuable and esteemed member of theChristian Church, a member in good standing of Lodge, No. 301, F. & A,M. He was a loyal Democrat, as far as he believed what was right. Hadcarried the mail faithfully from this place to Nicholasville for abouteighteen months.
We deeply miss his familiar face and smiling countenance every otherday. His brother Masons quietly laid his remains to rest, at his home,yesterday morning at 10 o'clock, with their mysterious signs and tokensof love, in the presence of his grief-stricken family, and host ofsorrowing friends.
