He enlisted in the military in 1777. He died on 14 Feb 1845 in Boone, KY. His reference number is 763. I have the following in my notes about Jacob Bruner:
Served in Rev. War, enlisting in MD. Pension applied for in 1821; his age 62, wife's age 60. He applied for a pension while living in Boone Co, KY. Besides their ages, he said his wife Mary Ann was the mother of 14 children, was infirm, and that his youngest daughter was age 17. He gave as references, his brother Christian Bruner and sister Elizabeth of Jessamine Co, KY.
He enlisted May 1778 in MD at Fort Frederick (near Hagerstown) in Capt. Creasup's Co. Then served under Capt. Clark in col. Brodhead's Regt in Western PA. Was discharged in 1779 and re-enlisted in Capt Samuel Moore's Co. for 7 months against the Indians. Helped to build Fort McIntosh and Tuscaraway. According to his pension record he was a Private in the New Jersey Line. His annual allowance was $96.00 and he received $989.41. His pension started on 22 Jan 1824, and he was supposedly age 75.
